Weather in Benalmádena: the sun takes centre stage
Benalmádena offers a mild Mediterranean climate all year round. With more than 300 days of sunshine, it is one of the most pleasant places on Europe’s map: it alternates mild winters with sunny summers and a feel-good temperature that invites you to sit on the terrace of a beach bar or enjoy an outdoor route.
Its geographical location, between inland areas and the coast, gives it a very distinctive character. The mountains and northerly winds protect it and keep temperatures one to two degrees higher than in nearby municipalities. The area closest to the sea is characterised by moderate humidity and a gentle but constant breeze.
During a visit to Benalmádena, it is almost never necessary to carry an umbrella. Throughout the year it records little rainfall, concentrated in November and February.
