Benalmádena is also best experienced in shades of green. Beyond its beaches and coastline, the destination is home to numerous parks, gardens, viewpoints and natural spaces that invite you to slow down, wander at your own pace and capture photos worthy of your gallery.
We've selected six places, each with its own unique character. Some are well-known favourites, while others may surprise you. What they all have in common is their ability to help you unwind while discovering a quieter, more peaceful side of Benalmádena.
It's also the perfect way to explore a side of the destination you may not yet know: greener, more sustainable, surrounded by nature and offering an exceptional quality of life.
1. Parque de la Paloma

This is the destination's must-see green space. The best-known park in Benalmádena and one that is always worth recommending. Its lake, winding paths, spacious gardens and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal place to visit at any time of day.
It is large, vibrant and full of picture-perfect corners. If you could only choose one green space in Benalmádena, this would be it.
A hidden gem within the park
Inside the park itself you'll also find one of the most distinctive spots on this list: the Cactus and Succulent Garden. Small compared to the rest of the park, it nevertheless makes a big visual impact thanks to its impressive collection of unique plants.
2. Jardines del Muro

Here, lush gardens meet spectacular views. Located in the upper part of Benalmádena Pueblo, the Jardines del Muro are among the municipality's most photogenic locations.
The promenade feels like a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, where beautifully landscaped gardens blend with traditional architecture and breathtaking coastal panoramas—one of the reasons this spot is so popular on social media.
Its charm also lies in its setting. Rather than being a standalone garden, it forms part of the experience of exploring the historic village at a leisurely pace.
3. Parque de los Limones

This is one of those places that often flies under the radar, yet leaves a lasting impression. Located in Benalmádena Pueblo, it occupies the former grounds of the Los Limones estate and provides a peaceful retreat full of character.
Its intimate scale creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy a quiet break away from the crowds.
4. Benalmádena Butterfly Park

Not a traditional garden, but certainly one of the destination's most captivating green spaces. Home to more than 1,500 free-flying exotic butterflies, the Butterfly Park is housed inside a spectacular Thai-style temple.
Its vibrant colours, exotic setting and immersive atmosphere make it one of Benalmádena's most inspiring and photogenic attractions.
5. Parque Rústico Casablanca

This is the ideal spot for visitors seeking a more natural landscape. Covering approximately 125,000 square metres between Torremuelle and Benalmádena Pueblo, it offers a very different experience from a traditional urban park.
Here, open spaces, natural scenery and tranquillity take centre stage, making it an excellent place for walking, relaxing and discovering a lesser-known side of Benalmádena.
6. Lagos de Mare Nostrum
The final stop on our list is one of the destination's hidden gems. The Lagos de Mare Nostrum offer a more contemporary vision of urban green space in Arroyo de la Miel.
They provide a pleasant stop that's easy to include during a walk around the area, reinforcing the idea that Benalmádena is a destination best enjoyed on foot, taking time to admire its surroundings and simply pause for a while.
